2025 SAGT Senior Scholarship ($1500)

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SAGT $1500 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER!

Nicole Beres

Each year, through membership and donations, SAGT is able to offer a $1500 scholarship to one Carroll High School Senior. The senior selected is one we believe has developed his or her special gift, and through leadership and community service, used that gift to positively impact the community or world.

SAGT is proud to present the 2023 SAGT Scholarship to senior, Nicole Beres.

Nicole has a gift for embracing new experiences and using her passion to promote diplomacy. She served as a US Department of State Youth Ambassador to Ecuador, started two new civics clubs at her high school, and was President of the Student Council twice - all this while encouraging those around her to engage in positive change and work together. Nicole’s teacher recommender was impressed by her passion and enthusiasm for civics. “They are hopeful and enthusiastic about their ability to work with others to formulate practical solutions to current societal issues.”

Nicole will attend Stanford University this fall where she plans to study Political Science and International Relations. She will continue using her skills towards a career in diplomacy, after earning a PhD in International Politics, as a university professor and international policy advisor. She believes she can build “a more peaceful and collaborative world.”

CONGRATULATIONS NICOLE!
