2023-2024 TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM

2023-2024 SAGT Teacher Grants Awarded

The SAGT Grants Committee is pleased to announce we have presented a check to the CISD School Board in the amount of $16,280.95 to be applied directly to the enrichment of the CISD GT community!

This year SAGT awarded 7 teacher grants totaling $8,599.95 to teachers at Rockenbaugh, Walnut Grove, Eubanks Intermediate, Durham Intermediate, Carroll Middle, and Carroll High school. The money will be used to support gifted students in the classroom with items including alternative seating, alternative desks, Spike Lego Essentials kits, and board games that support argumentative units. In addition, SAGT contributed $7,681 to help send 19 teachers to the Texas Association of Gifted and Talented conference in December. This conference provided continuing education, and new creative ideas for GT instruction.

This contribution to the CISD GT program would not have been possible without the generous dues and donations of SAGT members. Thank you so much for your financial support! You have made a true difference in the lives of our children.
